oops.

I haven't updated for donkey, donkey years. haha.

Well - the phenomenon we call laziness certainly works in very interesting ways, doesn't it? Basically, I have been utterly LAZY and have just enjoyed lazing about since I got home. But it's nice to have almost nothing to do - as compared to the last week of London: running around trying to get a place to stay, packing my stuff, moving my stuff....phew. But I think we have a pretty good agent - then again, after Veronica, anyone would be good. Bah to her. But seriously, when it came to calling the gas company, etc - we were actually using the phones in their office! Sitting at their extra table calling people, as if we actually worked at banbury ball. =) Nice. And Ian is also super nice to us.

Accommodation wasn't an easy thing to settle, but I'm glad we managed to sort it out (I think), and now have a place to stay. Which is even nearer to Cruciform as compared to Schafer! I can sleep in for an extra 2 minutes!! Hahaha. I had hell trying to pack up all my stuff. I had so so so so much stuff - I cringe when I think about how much stuff I'm gonna have at the end of it all. Yikes. I was functioning on about 3 hours of sleep in 3 days - was totally zonked out. On my last day there, I was about to fall asleep while standing on the escalator. (But I didn't!!) =)

We celebrated Hwei Wuen's birthday on the actual day, the 6th - Miss Chan had to come with her hands in bandages, limping like an old lady...as she fell off her bike while biking in Edinburgh. Hai, this woman is always injured, whether in netball, walking back from clubbing, biking.... =) The food was good - French, I think it was. We later walked to this bar for a few drinks (hw couldn't dance since she was hurting all over), but it was closed. Shen then proceeded to bring us all around London in search for other bars, and evern clubs - which were all closed! Andrea and Agnes were wearing wedges, and Andrea was literally screaming bloody murder at HW when she passed by in Jon's car. Hahaha. I think the whole of Regent's Street heard her. We finally ended up at China White, where we managed to get HW totally totally drunk. She puked over my shoes, as well as Abigial's (whose name I cannot spell). It was a fun night though.

Oh - and: we got our exam results a day early! They were originally supposed to be out on the 7th, then the medical school office changed it to the 8th....but it came out on the 7th anyway. Jeff called me to say "check your results", and I was like....WHAT? It's out already??? What the hell??? And I pretty much got the same reaction from Jo when I told her. But yayyyy - coz we both passed!!! =) We were jumping around hugging each other - along with Negin, who was there at the time. Thinking back, it was actually good that the results came out a day early, as it saved us from the torment of worrying on the night of the 7th. Phew. Went for dinner with Andrea, Jeni, and HW that night: Spanish food and then Haagan Dazs...to celebrate the day we became 2nd years. The best thing was, everyone we regularly hang out with passed! Nice, especially Andrea was saying one of us would probably have to resit. Also, it's always hard when someone you know doesn't pass...I mean, how would you react? You wouldn't be able to really celebrate in fear of being inconsiderate, blah blah blah. So I'm glad.

The day we became second years!!!

I can't believe that my first year of uni is already over though. Time certainly flies. It feels like an eternity since SPM - and the fact that I have lost touch with many of my friends from cbm doesn't help either. I'm going to miss my flatmates though...all the memories...

1. Just the 4 of them - Jo, Neg, Ashleigh and Mary.
2. Negin's crap - Her 'I am a rebel cookie. I will not conform. I will not be bound by the clingfilm. I have escaped this plate' post it would be a good example.
3. Going to PDS (and exams) with Jo - usually being a bit too late (we got progressively later as the year went on).
4. Ashleighs cooking - her cookies, brownies, popcorn....
5. The way Mary talks.. =)
6. Hanging out in the kitchen, and talking.
7. Our Thanksgiving Dinner - "Jump...for my love (hugh *cough* grant)" Ahhhhh. Those were the days.
8. The stupid fire alarms - plus the crap we came up with while standing in the cold for hours. (one of which was to make hot chocolate and toasties, and then selling them, haha....also the image of the people who brought down the kitchen chairs, along with blankets and magazines so they could wait in 'comfort').
9. Having the fire alarm go off while I was in the shower...TWICE, including once at 4.30am. Bah.
10. Our fridge messages with Mary's magnets.
11. Going out for my birthday dinner in wagamama - and Ashleigh's oh-so-sinful-no-flour-used chocolate cake. (plus Neg's and Ash's "duel" with rolled up paper...in public, might I add)
12. The picnic with Ashleigh and Negin.
13. Watching movies with the others...
14. Negin working into the wee hours of the morning (with me accompanying her, ahha), plus that time Jo and I helped her with her work...and the state of the kitchen when she was working!!
15. Negin's 'sugar' project in the kitchen.
16. The eel incident.
17. Ashleigh (sometimes) washing our plates for us after she can't take it anymore.
18. Decorating our kitchen - especially all the menus we stole!
19. Hanging out in the kltchen, especially towards the end.
20. Dealing with an incredibly inconsiderate bunch of assholes in the history of mankind: football at 3am, drunken singing at 4am, the horrible music from the guy above Ashleigh's room, the guy with the drums (and the ONLY rhythm he could play!)....then again, we know we can take this kind of crap now. We made it. Hahahaha. It is our hope that they get thrown out of their next residence.

BM2!!
