i've decided that i finally have the energy to blog. it has been a while, hasn't it?
anyway, my finals were really crap. i don't really want to go into it, as it is utterly depressing, and i can't do anything about it at this point in time. i'm just praying and hoping that i will pass each paper. it's an amazing change - we all said so. prior to medical school, we usually hope to be amongst the top, but now....a pass is all we want. but no matter what happens, i have to admit that i'm definitely going to work my ass off next year, from the very beginning. there is too much stuff to learn, and reading it once or twice simply isn't sufficient. jo and i decided that the number to go for is probably 5. great. but hey, that's a student's job. =) i just hope i'll pass this year! sighhhhhh.
but, i do have to admit that it was nice knowing that finals were over. (although i was still worrying about my results like a deranged, crazy person the day it ended - to be honest, i'm actually still worrying, the only difference is that i think about it less now). a group of us went to borough market to eat and celebrate right after the last mcq paper - me, agnes, jeff, mandy, jeni, asha, hui li, dot and anna. it was the first time i'd been there in 2 years...it was nice, but no where as amazing as portebello (i've only done like, a third of it!). of course, while we were off to borough market, hw was off to heathrow, and nyc. haha. can you sense the jealousy? ;)
so, what have i been doing in the past week? basically, flat hunting (complete with a stupid mistake, 'fishy' agent, 'ass-hole-ish' supposed landlord, and too many viewings of the flats in william road). bloody veronica. something for everyone: always pay by cheque. cash is SO not a good idea. i don't know if it would have made a difference in our case, but basically, cheques are the way to go. basically, we're still looking for a place, and i hope we cvan get a place before going home. for one, i want the security of knowing i will have a place to stay - plus i don't exactly relish the idea of coming back a week or two before the term starts.
i have to admit that i have felt all sorts of emotions in the past 3 weeks. fear, worry, anxiety, stress, depression, anger, dissapointment, annoyance, frustration, happiness - and more.
anyway. on to happier things. i only have 3 episodes left till i finish my desperat housewives marathon!!! woo hoo! love the show! i originally thought it was about..well, desperate housewives and sex (haha), but i was wrong. i love the mystery in it!! and teri hatcher certainly deserves the golden globe she won earlier this year.
muffy and yeevonne are also here in london. muffy is...well. currently sleeping like a pig. hahahaha. met 2 of their friends, jihan (i think that's how you spell it) and raj - we went to westminister to see westminister abbey, big ben, and even managed to see part of london eye! very nice. we were taking loads of stupid photos...=) i'm glad i have finally seen big ben though. you never seem to visit places which are there all the time - you go off to other places instead.
i think i can't take the suspense any longer...i need to finish off my desperate housewives and find out the secret behind dana, mary alice/angela...and how the season ended. =) later....
