jobLESSness

i thought kch boy was jobless. that was till someone we fondly know as mak nita came along. i'm amazed at her utter joblessness. plus i can't believe she laughed to herself the whole day... :D anita dear, you are insane. also, your use of the capital letters don't help. =)

andy, ben & kevin: oh NO. my greatest, darkest secret has been discovered. why why why did you guys reveal yourselves to all my friends?? i thought we had an understanding!!!
HAHAHAHAHA. i'm laughing my ass off. jobLESSness.

but i am very hapy to announce that the weekend is here again! no waking up at ungodly hours of the morning to trudge through the cold and strong winds while trying to make it to lectures on time for once. ahhh, the joy of it all. i sometimes don't see the point of going for lectures. we do learn some stuff, but i usually forget it all by the end of the day. this is probably since i don't bother reviewing the lectures till the exams are around the corner. then again. for example, i went for my 9am lecture today with the so-called "suai ke", and i managed to fall asleep halfway through the lecture. i think it was around the point when astroviruses came along. i then skipped the next two epidemiology lectures. the best thing is, zy did a rough calculation earlier this week, and it turns out that each of our lectures cost us about £70, give or take a few pounds. that's more than rm500 for a 50 minute lecture. which would equate to about rm50 per minute. and we skip so many lectures. just imagine what i could buy with all that money...grrrrrr.

i had my gp placement yesterday, and it was actually really fun! i went with ange, and it was in this part of london which didn't resemble london in the least! there was green everywhere, with lovely trees and flowers, pretty houses....and it was only in zone 3. but i have to admit i wouldn't give up tottenham court road for that [i love the convenience of having practically all the supermarket/coffee/sanwich chains along it! it's such a wonderful change from shrewsbury]. the gp was really nice as well, but i was a bit surprised to see a female gp. it's really weird that i felt that way, since i am female medical student. i wonder...but she was a darling, and was so nice to all her patients- although you could see that she was getting annoyed with some of them, especially that last japanese guy. sighh. i felt like slapping him. plus we were lucky as she had some fascinating cases that day - there was one lady with sle, hyperthyroidism and had recently gotten pregnant.

oh, accommodation for paris has also been settled. it took me and hua TWO HOURS in sta travel to get it all sorted out. reminder to self: next time you go anywhere during easter weekend, book the hotels waaaayy in advance. we could have gotten really cheap hotels, but they were naturally sold out. so we had to settle for something more expensive. =) but i'm just glad we actually managed to find a hotel. actually, i wonder if we would have had more luck doing it online...but any cheap hotels with available rooms during easter weekend would probably be quite dodgy anyway.

kch kia: anita is right! i thought ott was quite obvious...maybe you're just confused. you know, when you live in the trees you don't really get to mix around with civilians like me. ;) and why are you telling everyone to call me ah moi? stupid.

ding: yeahh. it could stand for a whole load of other things, but it wouldn't really make a lot of sense to say that his speech was really ocean technical targetting.

juls: ah yes, the wonderful concord computers. ;)

anita: what do you mean you are not an ah moi coz you're from kl? so you're implying that ah mois only come from penang! WHAT? just wait till i get my hands around your neck.

oh, yes. i have two essays to write, one of which is due next week, and another which is due the week after. and i haven't started! oh my god. plus i was having fun with photosop last night, when i was supposed to be working on my gm crops essay. great. and considering the ic msian nite & yv and crazee, plus london games & li kun next weekend, i doubt i'm going to get much work done. crap.
