after thinking, and thinking, and thinking even more....(yes, yes, more ah moi-ism), i finally decided to run for vice of msoc. now that i think of it, it was such a last minute thing. i originally thought i would be running against 6 other people, including deena, keas and jiehan. but they deena and jiehan dropped out, so it was just me, keas, azni and this other girl whose name i can't remember. sian? hmmm. all i know that like keas, she was also a law student. anyway, we had to give our speeches, and it was amazing how prepared the "sian" girl was, as compared to the rest of us. oops. i thought keas would be the main "saingan", but after the speech, i was like. hmmm, yeah this girl is good. =) and then, they kept us up there for questions. a LOT of questions. but i'm glad things turned our the way i wanted them to. *grins*
amir is our president (who has to go up to manchester this saturday to "greet" najib), jia ying the treasurer, wilson the sec, shasa as m'sian nite director, and two other malay guys whose names are very similar and both begin with "a" are the webmaster and sports sec respectively. and apparently only the president and treasurer are recognised by the union. ;)
we (deena, keas, em, hsiang, jun linn, jia ying, fuzz, joanne, lip teng, fuzz, adli and me) went out for ice creams after the meeing...ice creams, when the it was freezing. sometimes i question the way our minds work. keas was sure haagan dazs was reopening on that day....but when we got there, it was closed. so we went to bar ciao instead. it was quite nice! not as good as haagan dazs, but at least it was something. =)
apparently haagan dazs is reopening for sure on monday. hmmmmm....
