my latest ssm is really fun! ok, the molecular biology part of it isn't fun (in fact, it's just downright boring), but the debate we had on thursday certainly was. =) we had to represent either pro or anti GM organisations...mei and i represented bayer cropscience, a company i never knew existed until a week ago. the best part was that all 8 of us were really "arguing"with each other, and dr wingler had to stop us in the end...otherwise we'd have gone on, and on, and on. haha. but that's the fun part of debating. =)
it certainly brought back fond memories of debating in cbm with shafira and evonne. especially when we kicked bm high's extremely arrogant arse for 2 consecutive years. haha. it's such a thrill to argue your points, and it's even better when you get the chance to pick up on something which actually favours you. and the poi's...hahahaha. even MORE fun. another highlight of debating was how it taught me to be politely sarcastic to the other teams. like the time we fought against jit sin, and that stooooopid jeremiah who kept on talking about my water bottle.
i actually never realised how much i missed debating till last thursday.
i just hope we'll get more debates in the remaining weeks of this ssm...
