but whatever....coz the stupid assesment is over!! and there are NO MORE EXAMS TILL APRIL! though it'll be horrible in april. the first day back: mcq. two weeks later, another mcq. and a week after the second mcq: finals. oh my god. i cannot imagine how stressed out i'm going to be then. this was only a formative assesment, and all of us were already like: die die die die die. i'm definitely not looking foward to that week of absolute horror in may. =(
still, i must remind myself to STUDY for my finals, so i'll actually be prepared for it. or at least, 3/4 prepared...and not like this time: totally utterly unprepared. bloody hell. the sociology question on parson's stupid model was amazing. yes. in the sense that 20 marks are just going to fly right out of the window. shit. not counting all the other questions in the entire assesment. well, maybe i only lost 19 marks. coz i got ONE point correct - it was all i could remember of pds in the FHD module...i just found out andrea managed to answer it, as she only completed her community portfolio 2 weeks ago (i did it last year!!). maybe it pays to be inefficient..hahahahahaha. oh well. but everyone was basically SHOCKED to see a 20 mark sociology question in a formative assesment. nor could many of us do it. i bet they're making us suffer for skipping fridays. elena said she could just imagine all the sociology lecturers laughing at all of us, saying: hah. bet all of you wish you came to our lectures now, don't you??
it was really nice coming back today, not having to think about what i had to cram into my brain. =) i had a nice time surfing mindlessly, doing a bit of shopping with hua, and then dinner with the ucl medics. there was me, jeni egg, hw, agnes, zy, andrea, mandy, hui li, joyce, asha, amanda, irene, dot, anna and...the only guy: jack-jeff. =) and i was late for dinner. BUT it wasn't my fault. i actually reached young chen 5 seconds before jeff, andrea and hw...but then accompanied hua who wanted to buy some dinner. so there. and hua's definitely as slow as me when it comes to shopping. it's been proven over and over again....hahahaha.
dinner was followed by unsuccesful attempts to watch a movie- so me, zy, and hw went back to the traffic cone's place to play mahjong, where i learnt some new stuff from miss neon orange. mahjong is SO freaking addictive. but amazingly fun. =) agnes (who kept on taking all my cards for "chi"!!! [hmm was it "chow" in cantonese? can't remember] and dot joined us later on. i'm so glad we weren't gambling, or i would have lost so much money, thanks to agnes. =) still...nothing can beat the mahjong-pool-all nighter marathons we had in ic last year...
but it was definitely fun having dinner as a huge group for the first time...and also hanging out with the others till late at night. we have to do this more often.
i can't believe i'm still sleep deprived after the assesment. it happens every time: i celebrate the end of an assesment by, errm...sleeping really late, or simply not sleeping at all. sighhhh. i think my head needs examining. plus, the rest of the week is going to be really busy for me. i have rehearsals, shopping, (haagan dazs with jose?) and chap goh meh dinner tommorow/today, ssm and the dance show on thursday, rehearsals on friday, and malaysian night on saturday. i wish i could make it for the smsl dinner though. =( stupid rehearsals.
oh yes. and i'll probably be getting a new camera. i called nikon up today, only to be told that the repair costs would range from £60-85. so i figure it's more worthwhile to get a new camera. it's good that reggie is coming to london on the 11th, so mum is just going to pass the camera through her. so i'm going to have to think about what camera i want now. any suggestions, anyone? i must say i'm slightly vary of nikon though. i mean...two times? and no, muffy. technology does NOT hate me. but i do wonder why this is happening...the sq was definitely a camera fault, but i can't help wondering if i screwed up the "internal circuitry" of my 4300 by taking too many photos last weekend. [and maybe not waiting long enough in between the loading of photos??]. depressing thoughts, really.
and i've finally seen snow in london! it's nice...but i just wish the temperature would just drop slightly so the snow won't melt the moment it touches the ground. so i haven't seen any white surfaces yet. i can still hope: snow is predicted for thursday (snow wasn't predicted today). *crosses fingers*. i really felt quite crappy when i couldn't take photos of the falling snow though. jo and negin weren't in, and jeff was not at his computer when i valiantly tried to borrow a camera. oh well.
all i have to do now is to get down to doing everything i said i would do "after the assesment"....
