i would wish everyone a happy new year, but i'd be 3 days too late. this was simply coz i was in kl till last night, meaning i had zero access to the internet...i can't believe i survived 5 days without internet! =)
anyway, it's a brand new year. it's amazing how fast time flies...it's sometimes a little bit surreal.
i spent my new year's in kl...in a CAR, searching for miss anita ooi's house. haha. i had already met anita earlier in the day for a bit of retail therapy (more me than her though!), but we were supposed to meet up again that night, along with shaz. actually, the "search" may not have taken such a long time if shaz hadn't decided to take a shortcut (which he could only vaguely recall). in the end, we had to meet anita in a petronas petrol station. and we later found out that anita's place was (theoretically) actually just..."down the road and turn left". oh well.
i did enjoy kl though...had a new year's dinner with my family in my aunt's house. the food looked absolutely amazing...i took photos (duh!). but here's the thing, only 20% of the food was home cooked. the rest were all bought. haha. all the same, it was a fun evening...complete with wacky conversation, wine, and yummylicious food. =) also did a reasonable amount of shopping, ate a great many dinners, and even did my i&d pds essay!! not bad, right?? =) it was quite a short and rushed trip though, and i didn't really have time to meet up with anyone apart from anita n shaz. ash was grounded (you still haven't told me why!), winston was packing...and i was with my family every day except for that day in mid valley. i even bacame a "waitress" for the day- my aunt had some japanese guests, and i had to serve them tea and some food. =)
