i never knew getting a phone would be so confusing. first, there was the which-phone-do-i-want dilemma. then came the which-network-and-which-tariff dilemma. i've settled the first one (d500!!), but am not quite decided on the tariff just yet. sighhhhh.
went to phones4u today with the intention of actually signing a contract..and we actually got quite a good deal. £30 tariff on voda, 200 anytime. with 3 months half price line rental, and we get the d500 free (it was actually £50, but me and yong are good bargainers! haha). and we were going to get it there and then...but. yong didn't have a current bank statement..his last one was from september last year. which i think is really weird..i mean, i get a statement from hsbc every month! anyway, the lady did tell us that the same offer would still stand if we go back next week. what was her name again? yeah, sarah. she even offered to throw in a free game or/and? ringtone. =)
ahhhh and i shouldn't neglect to mention 2 other tariffs which also seem quite good:
1. yet another voda tariff, £50 for 500mins (normally 400mins), with 6 months half price rental, and a free d500. then i could switch plans after 6 months to the 200mins one.
2. 02 tariff, the one winston got. £45 for 400mins, double texts and minutes for 3 months, and somehow...3 months free rental. we asked about this deal today, in the very bransh wince signed his contract..but apparently it doesn't exist. what???
so anyway...the 200mins voda tariff would be the cheapest..but the more i think about it, in 6 months, i'd only be paying an extra £15 for an 300mins extra with the 500mins tariff. but the 500mins deal ends on 31st january - which is in 2 days time.
oh crap. i can't decide!! this is so bad. urgent help needed! arghhh. sometimes i think i should think less, and just go for it. even mum tells me i think too much. sighhhh.
australian open 2005. federer lost. roddick lost. lindsay lost to serena, of all people. justine redrew from the entire tournament due to injury. need i say more? i was hoping for a federer-roddick final! bah. =( i do wish i could have watched the federer-safin match though...it's been hailed as an "epic" semi-final. i want my astro!!! thankfully i get to watch the wimbledon and us open. the hewitt-safin final will be played in a matter of hours. hewitt will have the crowd behind him, and will definitely want to be the first aussie to win the home grand slam after..29 years i think it was. but safin beat federer, and it will be very mensiasuikan for roger if safin loses to hewitt. at least roger only lost very, very narrowly. but i wanted him to win all four this year! oh well. french open: 23rd may. =)
went to this age concern place on thursday for my pds community placement. i'm quite glad i got that place, as it was really close by (so i could sleep in, haha), and it's something different..rather than going to gp practices all the time. it brought back fond memories of my guiding days...the many, many visits we made to that old folks home on jalan masjid negeri, st joseph's, the spastic home...and inever thought i would day this, but i miss gga. along the endless meetings, camps, logbooks, training...the others, and even some guiders. sighhh.
i can't believe it's only been two years! if only i could turn back time.
and i'm really pleased with some of the things i bought in the past week. my (cheap) zara skirt, my (cheap and heavily discounted) calendars, my (reduced price) four cheese bread...haha.
and no, it still hasn't snowed here, muffy. i'm beginning to think i won't see any this year.
